Since a few of my girlfriends always seem to be pregnant, we have quite a few friends the same age as the boys. Hayden was born 6 days after Thayer and they seem to already be fast friends.

Thayer 4 months
My sweet little man turned 4 mo, right after big brother turned 3. He is seriously the sweetest little guy. He is rarely upset and generally seems to enjoy life. I wasn't able to capture any smiles here, but he gives them quite often, especially when big brother gives him squishy hugs. Henry has a hard time being gentle, but luckily Thayer doesn't seem to notice/mind. He is really starting to notice his hands and enjoy looking around. He can sit up unassisted briefly and is getting stronger everyday. It's hard not to compare the boys, because they are both so big. Thayer is just behind Henry at this age in the size department. He is 17 lbs and 26.25 in. He is about a 1/2 in and 1/2 lb smaller than big brother at this same age. We grow them big in this family.

Henry is 3!
This year, all Henry wanted was a fire birthday. He was a fireman for Halloween, so he already had the birthday outfit =). We realized that we could go to our local fire station (a couple blocks away) for a free tour. It was awesome! The kids got to climb all over the rigs, learn about the cool equipment, and even spray the fire hose. After the tour, we went back to the house for lunch, cake, presents and play time. Our little man has been fighting naps lately, but was out minutes after the last guest departed. Don't know how we'll top it next year.
He's still a giant. 3 yo stats:
Height: 42 inches
Weight: 45 pounds
Henry moved into the 3's with a bang. We have had a rough week with our strong willed, stubborn, too smart for his own good, big man. He is growing up so fast and trying to find his way in the world. I'm slightly scared, but mostly excited for what this year has in store for us all. I am equal parts frustrated and amazed with him every day. Every day moving forward as a parent is a little harder, but a little more rewarding. We LOVE watching him grow. His personality comes out a little more each day.
Currently Henry knows quite a few songs, including his ABC's. He can recognize all his letters. He can count to 20 (although he usually misses 15). He can do simple addition (i.e. 1+1, 1+2). He can recognize a few numbers and site words. He wants to know how everything works. He loves to play with ANY type of vehicle. He likes to ride his bike, go "running" and jump on his jumping bed. He likes ring-around-the-rosie, and hide-and-seek. He LOVES to read stories. He loves his little brother, and sometimes tries not to squish him. He doesn't like sitting still, listening, or eating meals at the table ;). We love him to pieces and feel so lucky to have him.
