Daddy sold his business! Well, almost. He's working on it. In order to get the ball rolling, the Woodruff family went on an adventure to downtown Philadelphia, for almost a month.
Living downtown meant lots of eating out. Luckily the food was pretty good and so was the weather.
We found an awesome park about a 1/4 mile away from our apartment. We played there almost daily.
Our first weekend in Philly was memorial day weekend, so we had 3 full days with Daddy. We were able to accomplish a lot, starting with the liberty bell (its behind a window, so look through the reflection).
Then we went to Franklin Square (one of the many beautiful parks in downtown Philly). There was a carousel and a playground where Henry made some fast friends.
Our next stop was the Smith playground. It is a massive mansion, on a couple acre lot, all for kids. The mansion is a 3 story playhouse, and the outdoor area is a state of the art, modern playground. It even has a giant hardwood slide. Literally the COOLEST playground ever.
To dodge the heat for a day, we spent a day in the National Museum of History. The dinosaur bones were definitely the highlight.
Our final day with Dad was spent at the oldest zoo in America. It was pretty fun and within running distance. We only rode in a car 1 day our whole trip. Everything else was in a 3 mile radius of our apartment, so we made it there on foot.
