Newborn Photos

With Henry we took our own photos. We got some decent shots, but nothing this professional. I was lucky enough to win a free newborn shoot when I was pregnant with Thayer. The photographer did and amazing job. I am so hapopy with the way the photos turned out. These are a few of our favorites.

I'm the Big Brother

Henry is a Big Brother and he wants everyone to know it. He is doing a really good job with his little brother. He is challenging us in other ways, but for the most part, is just loving on his brother. He wants to be near him all the time, touching him, kissing him, holding him. The only time he gets mad is when we don't let him do those things. Its definitely an adjustment and a balance, but I'm proud of how my biggest little man is handling it (most of the time ;)).

What a drastically different birth story. My repeat c/s was amazing. I was coherent for the whol;e thing. I got to solely snuggle my newest little man for the first 2 hours of his life (I was super stingy and wouldn't give him up to anyone. I was in minimal pain. It was fantastic.
I wasn't sure what to expect with another son. What would he look like, what would he act like, how would he make me feel? He looks a lot like Henry did as a newborn, but also a lot different. He acts a lot like Henry did as a newborn, except maybe a little calmer. I love him so much my heart feels like it could explode. Feeling so blessed.

Growing up so fast.

Homemade popcicle... It was a hit!

We had a fun filled day of family, festivities and treats. We started with a walk over to the local parade. It didn't consist of much, besides people throwing candy from cars, floats, or bikes, but Henry was in awe. He loved every minute of it. I'm sure it didn't hurt that he had a sucker for the duration of the parade ;). Our cousins played for a while, then after nap we headed to a BBQ. We made H his own popcicles the night before, so he was able to enjoy one as part of dinner. The company and temperature where perfect. Holidays are so much fun!

Construction Time!

Henry is obsessed with his tools. He always has something to "FIX" and he needs his construction hat, tool belt, and googles to do it. Something he doesn't always need is clothes. He can't be bothered to get dressed when something needs fixin'.

BOY!!!

We couldn't be more excited to welcome our newest addition in September. Henry is going to be a big brother to a little brother. He's pretty excited too, although I don't think he fully grasps what it means for him ;). Mama is going to be quite out numbered, but I'm really excited to add another little man to the mix.
