All dressed up and ready to go...

 This past Saturday Henry had the opportunity to meet the Holcoms. They were in town briefly for a wedding and we were able to snag some of there time. He dressed casually for the occasion due to the time of day.

Then, in the afternoon, he kicked it up a notch and dressed up for his very first party. We went to the Robert's for a baby welcome party. Henry saw pictures of his new friend Coen Kwasi Roberts. Yay!

He was exceptionally well behaved for both events.

SLEEP!

Henry slept through the night! We put him down at about 830 and he didn't wake up until 630 this morning. I didn't sleep quite that well, because I kept checking on him, but I'm very excited for what the future may hold :). He is such a great little man.

Success...

We did it! We made the transition from bassinet to crib fairly easy. We've still had a few moments when he wakes up for no reason, but I've only had to feed him 1-2 times at night. We are all getting long (>4 hours =)) stretches of sleep each night and it's fabulous. He is also napping in his crib. Now we are working on getting him to go to sleep without any help from us. He can do it about 50% of the time. If he doesn't do it on his own, it just means I get to snuggle him to sleep =)

It's become quite apparent that Henry needs to start sleeping in his crib. I went to get him up from his nap the other day only to find him easily touching both ends of the bassinet. We are starting the transition process this weekend. Wish us luck!

2 months!

He is really starting to outgrow his elephant friend

Henry snuggled in close with Daddy after his bath. Bill was in heaven and said he didn't want to forget this moment.

While we were waiting for the doctor at our checkup Henry was smiling and talking up a storm. It made it even harder to give his immunizations with him in such a great mood.

I can't believe it has already been 2 months. He is growing so fast. At his 2 mo checkup this week, he weighed 14 lbs (95th percentile) and was 25 1/4 inches long (105th percentile). He's our little giant. His legs have started to fill out and he has a double chin. His hairline is receding, but he already has a pretty good layer growing in to replace it. He smiles and coos a little more each day. He continues to hold his head up well and look around to take in the world around him. He doesn't roll over very often, but will every once in a while.
We feel so very blessed and excited everyday for this wonderful gift. Our Henry is amazing...
