Fireman Henry

 

We've been talking with H about what he wants to be for Halloween. He's changed his mind a few times, but then settled on a fireman. We were at costco the other day and found the perfect (well made and good quality) fireman costume. We got the camera out a little too late, but when we let him put his costume on he had more joy then I have ever seen. He was soooooo excited. He has been wearing it around hte house everyday since. He's just about the cutest fireman I've ever seen.

Newborn Photos

With Henry we took our own photos. We got some decent shots, but nothing this professional. I was lucky enough to win a free newborn shoot when I was pregnant with Thayer. The photographer did and amazing job. I am so hapopy with the way the photos turned out. These are a few of our favorites.

I'm the Big Brother

Henry is a Big Brother and he wants everyone to know it. He is doing a really good job with his little brother. He is challenging us in other ways, but for the most part, is just loving on his brother. He wants to be near him all the time, touching him, kissing him, holding him. The only time he gets mad is when we don't let him do those things. Its definitely an adjustment and a balance, but I'm proud of how my biggest little man is handling it (most of the time ;)).

What a drastically different birth story. My repeat c/s was amazing. I was coherent for the whol;e thing. I got to solely snuggle my newest little man for the first 2 hours of his life (I was super stingy and wouldn't give him up to anyone. I was in minimal pain. It was fantastic.
I wasn't sure what to expect with another son. What would he look like, what would he act like, how would he make me feel? He looks a lot like Henry did as a newborn, but also a lot different. He acts a lot like Henry did as a newborn, except maybe a little calmer. I love him so much my heart feels like it could explode. Feeling so blessed.
