we've only had it 2 days. I think its a hit.

We had such a relaxing day at Nana and Poppys. Leisurely morning, great meal, great company, laughter and fun. We all have so much fun watching Henry do whatever he does. I can't think of much else that I prefer to do.

Woodruff Christmas





Magic carpet ride



We spent Christmas day with the Woodruff side of the family. Henry had a fun Christmas morning even though he didn't really understand what it was all about. He always loves spending time with family and people in general.

Christmas Eve Eve

Prior to x-mas eve eve service

Nana and Poppy came with us to Christmas Eve Eve service at church and then brought Henry his Christmas present. It was definitely the coolest thing he had ever seen. He climbed all over it and went down the slide multiple times before letting us take him upstairs to bed. If I ever need to to wear him out I will just let him play on this for a while. He slept like a log.

Walking

He has been "walking" for over a month now, but only just a few steps here and there. He is walking more and more each day, though he still prefers crawling about 75% of the time. Bill finally got a good video to capture him in action.

Santa!

Henry had such a nice time meeting Santa. To be honest I think he was more excited about all the decorations and people at the mall, but it was so nice to see him happy. We are so blessed with such a happy, easy going guy. He makes life such a joy.

Daddy was nice enough to let Momma get a real tree for Henry's first Christmas. It was a lot colder than we expected and we ended up with a much larger tree than we realized, but it looked really pretty in living room and we had fun decorating it.

Zoo Lights

We had so much fun at zoo lights with Uncle Jim and Auntie Mandy. So many lights and people for henry to look at. It was pretty cold, but definitely worth it (unless you ask Daddy ;)).

11 Months

Henry is still all over the place and into everything. He is standing without holding on more each day and continues to take steps on his own. He is only up to 4 consecutive steps without assistance, so far. He has the skill, now he's working the confidence. He has both bottom teeth now, and working on the top. Henry's favorite things include: peek-a-boo, playing with water, turning things on/off, putting things in/taking things out, dancing/listening to music, pushing anything that moves, around the room, and eating ;). He has started to become a lot more affectionate (this is huge, because we were having a hard time getting him to sit still long enough for any snuggles). He gives great, loving, purposeful hugs. We will drop whatever we're doing for a love from our boy. Can't believe it's almost been a year. It feels like just yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital. Love, love, love our Henry and couldn't ask for anything better.
