Halloween

Riding with the boys... Carter made sure to hold on real tight

Crawling up to the door

Henry's first piece of candy (NO dad, he didn't eat it)

So excited about the holiday

Hanging out with Auntie Ashley
Henry had a great 1st Halloween. Fortunately his cow costume was just like a hoodie, so he didn't even notice he was wearing it. He wore all day long. At the last minute we headed up north to go spend Halloween with his buddies. We started with a little trick or treating with the Roberts clan and then headed to the Walkers to finish off our evening (unfortunately, right after Baby Preston went to bed, but Henry had plenty of fun with the big kids).

Mama's birthday

Playing with the beads

We had a large family pizza party and I have never seen Henry so scared. He came down from his nap to a houseful of people and after a few minutes just started to cry. He had large alligator tears and wouldn't let go of me for at least 30 minutes. I have to say, it was really sad to see him cry like that, but really awesome to have him cling to me (don't judge!). If you know, Henry you know that he will go to just about anyone and doesn't generally show too much of a preference. I can't help loving it when he only wants his mama. I think he knew it was my birthday.

9 month stats

We finally got him in for his 9 month appointment (at about 9.75 months). He is still, as you might have guessed, off the charts. He is weighing in at 26 lbs (>95%) and standing 32 in (~110%). I keep waiting for him to slow down in the growth department, but he just keeps going. My sweet little BIG man.

Pumpkin Patch

Yay!!

Cowboy

So Tall!

Future Farmer?

We had a great time during Henry's first trip to the pumpkin patch. Per usual we took TONS of pictures. We just can't help ourselves. There was so much to see and do. I can't help but get excited about the years to come. Activities like this only get more exciting the more engaged Henry becomes. He enjoyed the people, colors, pumpkins, goats, and tractors. He wasn't a big fan of the hay (too pokey), but still humored us for a few pictures.

First Tooth

I haven't been able to get a picture, but we finally have out first tooth. The bottom left. It is poking up a little more each day. It makes him look like such a big boy... when he lets you see it.

9 months old

This is about as good as I could do. He won't sit still.

Hanging out with cousin Ellie

Lovin Daddy time...
Our sweet boy is nine months old. I can't believe how time is flying by. He has come leaps and bounds this month. He is crawling like a champ (so speedy), talking a lot more (though I don't know what he is saying), pulling up on anything and everything, cruising around on all the furniture barely hanging on (I think he is going to let go soon), and climbing. His personality is really starting to show. He let's you know what he likes and doesn't, he is gaining independence and assertiveness. He's constantly watching and taking everything in, he is so smart. He is such a joy to be around. I could spend hours just watching him do anything. I can never express in words the love I have for my little bug and that love grows exponentially each day.

Stairs

Henry noticed the stairs for the first time yesterday and mastered them shortly after. Now we just have to teach him to get back down.

Stairs...

Henry discovered the stairs this week. He noticed them in the evening prior to his bath and climbed them 5 minutes later. He went from never climbing before to successfully climbing approx. 20 stairs. He continues to amaze me daily. We've decided to make this a nightly routine so we can wear him out a little prior to bed time. He is a mover!

Henry's first wedding

Hanging out with Great Aunt Diane and Uncle Rick, and waving to everyone else

Hanging with Poppy

Playing on the dance floor...
Cousin Jeff got married on Saturday. Henry was invited by default, giving him his first opportunity to dress up. He sat in his very own chair between Bill and I, and barely made a peep during the ceremony. He got to spend a lot of quality time with the Hayes clan and had a pretty good time.
