Our Anniversary...

We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on Saturday. I wouldn't trade these last six years for anything. I married a wonderful man who has turned out to be an amazing father. We spent the night away from Henry for Bill's birthday and couldn't bare to be away from him any longer. We slept in, had breakfast, and headed straight to grandmas to see our sweet little man. He is the best thing we have created together. I'm so happy to have added this addition to our family. I think he's happy to be here too. What better way to celebrate our love then with the one our love created? I love my men.

Daddy's 30!

We started the day with a cold walk to breakfast

Special birthday shirt for daddy... that was unfortunately spit up on after about 5 minutes of wear

Bill had a pretty nice birthday. We started the day off with breakfast as a family. Did a little shopping and hung out. Had the family over for pizza and cake. Then left Henry with Nana and went out for some drinks/games with friends. Pretty much the perfect day.

Growing up

This is his favorite place every morning

Getting ready for our first hike soon

Visiting with baby Preston (gives an idea of just how big he is)

playing outside with daddy

Grass!
Henry is growing up so fast. He is starting to enjoy so many new things. He is loving his exersaucer (or really anything that lets him stand and play with toys), he loves any new face or object that he hasn't seen before, and he loves the outdoors (the wind, the light, the sounds, etc.). It is so fun watching him take in the world around him.

4 Months Old

Right after a great big laugh

Sitting up briefly unassisted

4 months old
Henry continues to amaze me everyday. He has started to giggle, he has found his feet, he puts anything he can reach in his mouth, he is working really hard to sit up on his own, he is so curious about new things and faces, he loves to stand, he is so sweet and good natured, and he has a smile for just about anyone. My heart swells with pride every time I look at him. I can't imagine my life without this precious boy.

Meeting Preston

Preston arrived on May 4. Henry is 4 months older to the day. A good friendship starts early and we think these boys will be fast friends. The "babies" will have "big boy" Carter to show them the ropes.

First Boat Ride

Napping on daddy with the gulf in the background

Too cute for words...

So excited to be on the boat!

Roger, our hospitable ship captain =)

After Henry did so well on an airplane we thought, maybe he'll like boats too. Roger, a friend in the finance industry, lives on Marco Island, a beautiful area just south of where we were staying. He invited Bill for a ride out on his boat and we (Henry and I) were lucky enough to tag along. He took us out into the gulf, and through some of the canals around the island. We saw beautiful scenery, beautiful homes, and even quite a few dolphins. Henry loved the boat just as much as the plane. He even took a nice nap in daddy's arms.

Florida

First time in the swimming pool.
We didn't squeal immediately in delight, but we didn't hate it.
He likes his new suit.

If Henry could speak he would say,
"This is when mom and dad almost gave me heat stroke,
because they decided to take me for a walk in 95 degree weather!"

First time in a large body of water

First time in the sand...

We are obviously first time parents.
We didn't realize what a bad idea this was until after the fact.
We went immediately back to the hotel for a bath =)

We had such a nice time on this trip. It was lucky that Henry and I got to go... and even luckier that daddy had some downtime from working to play with us. We took care of a lot of firsts on this trip. Henry is growing up so fast and we are trying hard to take advantage of every moment.

It is obvious that for our next trip I'll need more than one suit for Henry. He wore it quite often and it was in need of a very good wash by the time we got home =)
