7 Months

Momma wasn't home to take Henry's 7 month pictures today, but Daddy and Nana did a pretty good job. It's really hard to get Henry to sit still anymore. He isn't technically "moving" yet, but he is trying pretty hard. He can now pull himself to standing from sitting. He lunges (and then face plants) when he wants to grab something out of reach. He has finally added "mamamama" to his repertoire of babbles. He is getting much more independent, but continues to have a sweet nature. I keep thinking I can't possibly love him any more... and then he does something new or looks at me with those sweet eyes.

Bend Trip

I got to have some great quality time with Poppy

We did a little hiking (you can't go to Bend and not hike)

I love my banana in the morning just like Daddy

I went for a run with Mom and Dad in my jammies

Nana gave me lots of love and snuggled me when I got sleepy

I learned how to drink from a straw... it's pretty easy

Smith Rock. Henry's first REAL hike

View from the top

It was a pretty easy hike sitting in the backpack with my crackers

There where so many new things to see

My Daddy is so strong!
We had an awesome long weekend in Bend for our friends wedding. We went for walks, runs, hikes, & swims; ate good food, drank good beer/wine; and relaxed as a family. We definitely didn't want to leave. A special thanks to Nana and Poppy for coming along to help with our Henry.

Beach Trip

I can't get enough of my mum mum's

Just watching the waves with Daddy

Pretty excited about the sand

Sand between my toes...
Bill and I had a short weekend free and decided it was time to take Henry to the beach. He is just starting to really notice things around him, so it was really neat to see him watch the ocean. It was nice to get away as a family even if it was for a short time.

The Lake House

Fun time in the pool

A beautiful weekend at the lake

Unfortunately, the hike we choose still had snow...

The boys got tired on the way down ;), so the girls got to carry the kids on the way back up.

Snuggling before bedtime

Smores after we put the kids to bed
We had a great weekend up at the lake house with The Roberts family. Henry's not quite old enough to play with Carter yet, but they still get along well. The weather was beautiful, so with our bathing suits still on, we decided to go for a hike. We drove all the way up to find snow on the ground. We couldn't just drive back down, so we went for a hike in out bathing suits. It was quite the experience.

The boys where perfect as usual. Heather and I continue to marvel at the sleeping abilities of our little men. Henry fell fast asleep in his strange, new surroundings; and shortly after the snuggling picture Carter ASKED to go to bed and promptly fell asleep.

July 4th / 6 month BIRTHDAY!

More pool time =)

I'm such a happy boy!

The only time my hair sits down... right after a bath
The last 6 months has flown by. Our little man is by far the greatest thing that's ever happened to us. He brings us joy with even the smallest of smiles, sounds, or looks. He's still growing like a weed. At his 6mo appt. He was 21 lbs 4 ounces (90-95th percentile) and 29.5 inches (105th percentile). He smiles constantly, sits up like a pro, can stand when propped, babbles all the time (i.e. dadadadadada, nananana, gagagagaga), and is easily the cutest little man I've ever seen. So in love.

Celebrating Auntie Mair

The whole clan (minus Jenn and Ellie, it was bed time)

Grampy's so much fun

I think this would make a great sunscreen ad

Grandma =)

Henry loves his cousin Ellie

Pool time with Daddy. We dunked him under. When I say we, I mean Bill. I was a nervous nelly. He didn't really mind. He definitely likes the water.

Super cute cousin Ellie

So fun Grandpa!
We spent a wonderful weekend with the Marshall clan celebrating Mair and family. It was so nice to see everyone and relax. Henry loves his family.

Summer time... Finally!

First time in a swing

It is so amazing to watch Henry as he takes in the world around him. He becomes more aware and interested as each day passes. It is exciting that this time in his development so perfectly co insides with summer. We get to be outside, all the time, letting him explore.
